Optical fiber communication system and its components

Optical fiber communication system is based on the carrier waves, optical fiber as transmission media of communication, play a leading role in the light source, optical fiber, optical transmitter and optical receiver.

· Light source is the root cause.

· Fiber is light transmission conductor.

· Optical transmitter function is to produce the beam, the electrical signals into optical signals, then the optical signal into fiber.

· The function responsible for receiving optical receiver on the transmission of light from the optical signal, and turns it into electrical signals by decoding and then be treated accordingly.
